Data We Process
SkyPing is designed to minimize data collection and prioritize local processing.
- Speed Test: Measures download, upload, and latency. Metrics are computed on your device using optimized endpoints and are stored locally unless you choose to export.
- Uptime Checker: Checks reachability of URLs you provide. Targets are stored locally to allow monitoring history on your device.
- SSL Verifier: Validates certificate details from endpoints you query. Results are kept on-device.
Information We Do Not Collect
- No account identifiers, usernames, or passwords.
- No precise location data.
- No advertising identifiers for tracking or profiling.
- No content of communications, except if you contact support and provide details voluntarily.
Optional Telemetry
To ensure reliability, the app may record anonymous aggregate telemetry such as app version, platform, and non-identifying performance events. This data does not include personal information and is used to improve service quality.
Data Storage
History logs and configuration settings are stored locally on your device. If you enable backups via your operating system, app data may be included per your device settings.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share personal data. If you share test results, links, or exports, you control the recipients and destination.
Children’s Privacy
SkyPing is intended for general audiences and not directed to children under 13.
